Kanthaswamy (Tamil: கந்தசாமி, Kantacāmi ?) is a 2009 Indian hero movie composed and coordinated by Susi Ganesan featuring Vikram in the title job. Shriya Saran, Prabhu, Krishna, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mukesh Tiwari, Mansoor Ali Khan, Vadivelu, and Y. G. Mahendran frame the supporting cast. The film's soundtrack and foundation score were made by Devi Sri Prasad. The film's soundtrack was discharged on 17 May 2009 and the film was discharged on 21 August 2009 to average reviews.[1] 

The film was named and at the same time discharged as Mallanna in Telugu and was later named into Hindi as Temper 2 by Goldmines Telefilms(2018) and does not highlight the tune 'Howl Meow'. It was revamped in Bengali as Most Welcome, featuring Ananta, Barsha.

In January 2007, early reports recommended that Kalaipuli International were set to make a movie featuring Hari coordinated by Susi Ganesan, titled Kanthaswamy for a discharge amid Diwali 2007.[2] Soon after the declaration Shriya Saran, who was acting in Sivaji: The Boss at the time was restricted in to play the heroine.[3] However, due to Hari and Shriya's undertakings, the film was deferred and the primary timetable was delayed to July 2007. The film's first photograph shoot was done in June 2007 at Muthukadu close Chennai highlighting the lead actors.[4] The film started taping a pre-dispatch trailer, the first of its sort in Tamil film, to be screened at the dispatch, with Hari, Susi Ganesan and mold creator Chetan going to Malaysia to search for Hollywood-propelled costumes.[5] 

The introduction of Kanthaswamy occurred on 22 September 2007 at the Devi Paradise theater in Chennai. For the occasion, an extraordinary electronic welcome, made in China, was exhibited to visitors who had been welcomed. The welcome was the extent of a PC and highlighted a 8-minute trailer of Kanthaswamy.[6] Each welcome had cost about Rs. 15,000, making it the most costly welcome in Indian film history.[7] Following the dispatch service, the group declared they had embraced two towns close Madurai; Sangampatti and Gandhi Nagar, to shoot in at first and after that to give fundamental conveniences like school and legitimate streets in addition to other things to the residents for a year. The group, who were applauded for their activities, were the principal generation group to partake in such action in Tamil cinema.[8] 

In November 2007, the shooting was ended briefly because of a mishap that happened at the shooting spot at the Chennai Boat Club. Cameraman Ekambaram was canning the shots according to chief Susi Ganesan's guidelines when a shaft raised on the sets out of the blue fell on the executive's head bringing about an injury.[9] The film has completed timetables at Italy, where the trailer was taped just as plans for Tanzania, Kenya and Switzerland. A calendar in areas in Mexico was likewise held, after the group went area chasing there, with a tune and a few scenes canned.[10] The film, at first portrayed as a "diverting parody", was reputed to be a redo of the American religion hit The Breakfast Club,[11] anyway Susi Ganesan has guaranteed that the film has a more Robin Hood feel to it.[12]
